Amelia Warner, whose birth name is Amelia Catherine Bennett, is famed for her acting and music skills as well as for being a spouse of Jamie Dornan.
In 1998, Amelia made an acting debut in Kavanagh QC television series. Her other acting credits include Waking the Dead and Take a Girl Like You series plus Quills, Lorna Doone, Alpha Male, Gone and The Echo films.
Amelia Warner commenced her music career in 2009 under the moniker Slow Moving Millie and presented album Renditions in 2011. She composed music for commercials and movies, including short film Mam. Warner also released two EPs, Arms and Visitors. In 2018, she earned an International Film Music Critics Association Award for creating a soundtrack to a Mary Shelley movie.
In 2002, Warner got hitched to actor Colin Farrell, but the ceremony took place on a beach in Tahiti during the vacation and wasn’t legal. She got acquainted with Jamie Dornan at a party in 2007, but their romantic involvement began only in 2010. Dornan popped the question in 2012 and espoused his sweetheart on April 27, 2013. The same year, they welcomed their firstborn, daughter Dulcie. In 2016, she was joined by sister Elva. And in 2019, the couple’s youngest daughter Alberta drew her first breath.
Despite being in the spotlight, Jamie and Amelia cherish their privacy and don’t share much information about their personal life. However, they are very supportive of each other and frequently walk the red carpets together. Surprisingly enough, Warner has never watched Fifty Shades of Grey.
A curious fact: Amelia is a daughter of actors Alun Lewis and Annette Ekblom. She was raised by her mom who suffered from drug addiction. Annette shared that her love for her daughter inspired her to start acting and return to a normal lifestyle. Now, the woman is famed for her parts in the Take Me and Brookside TV series.
