Daniel Moder

Daniel Moder is a cinematographer who is also famed for being a spouse of legendary Julia Roberts.

Daniel’s professional path started in 1995 when he was a member of the production team for Crimson Tide. He was an assistant camera on sets of Enemy of the State, Lucky Numbers, The Mexican plus The Big Tease. Moreover, Moder was a camera operator for some films comprising Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Spider-Man 3.

Dealing with cinematography, he took part in the creation of Border, The Normal Heart, Grand Champion, Fireflies in the Garden, Jesus Henry Christ, Secret in Their Eyes plus some other projects. By the way, his spouse appeared in the latter four films.

In 1997, Daniel Moder espoused makeup artist Vera Steimberg. In 2000, he got acquainted with Julia Roberts while filming The Mexican and immediate chemistry arose between them. At that time, he was still a married man while Julia was in relationship with Benjamin Bratt. In 2002, after his marriage with Vera was dissolved, Daniel tied knots with Julia on July 4, 2002, at the celebrity’s ranch in New Mexico. The couple was blessed with twins, daughter Hazel and son Phinnaeus, in 2004. And in 2007, their younger son Henry drew his first breath.

The actress even uses her spouse’s photo as her cellphone wallpaper. And, in 2019, on their wedding anniversary, Roberts posted a photo wearing a T-shirt with her spouse’s photo and one more time proved how much she loved him.

A curious fact: in the summer of 2019, the rumors about the couple’s split appeared in the media. Moder was accused of dumping his wife for Vikings star Katheryn Winnick. However, that rumor seemed to be false as the couple appeared together at Oprah brunch in October and looked absolutely happy.
