David Hornsby started to act professionally in 1999 when he got a part in an episode of ER. And in 2001, he made a feature film debut in Pearl Harbor. However, David rose to fame thanks to the part of Matthew Mara in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia television series. He is the project’s executive producer and writer as well.
In 2011, Hornsby dealt with writing and producing How to Be a Gentleman series, where he also starred. In 2012, he was a co-creator of Unsupervised in which he had a voice part. Moreover, David played in such television series as The Joe Schmo Show, The Mullets, Jake in Progress, Idiotsitter and Good Girls.
Among David Hornsby’s feature film credits are Minority Report, Christmas with the Kranks, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem plus Pretty Bird. He also launched his podcast Yoda and Me in cooperation with Loren Tarquinio.
David got romantically involved with Emily Deschanel in 2007 though they preferred to keep their relationship low key. They tied knots on September 25, 2010, at an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles. In 2011, the couple’s firstborn Henry drew his first breath. And in 2015, he was joined by baby brother Calvin. By the way, Hornsby appeared as a priest in an episode of Bones where Emily was getting married.
A curious fact: being engaged into a great number of projects along with remaining a caring husband and a father of two, David often calls himself a decathlete without the body.
