Dax Shepard, who dreamed about becoming a stand-up comedian in childhood, started his acting career in 1998 with a small part in Hairshirt movie. He attracted more public attention by being a member of Punk’d reality show. In 2004, Dax gained his first starring role in Without a Paddle movie.
Today, Shepard is famed for starring in Parenthood and Bless This Mess TV series. His most recognizable movie credits include Zathura: A Space Adventure, Employee of the Month, Idiocracy, Let’s Go to Prison, Baby Mama, Smother, The Freebie, When in Rome, Hit and Run plus CHiPs.
Apart from acting, Dax Shepard also deals with screenwriting, producing and directing. Thus, he wrote and directed Brother’s Justice, Hit and Run and CHiPs. Moreover, in 2018, Dax created his own podcast Armchair Expert, where famous people share their stories. His co-host is Monica Padman.
Moreover, Shepard is a car and motorcycle enthusiast. He takes part in races at Buttonwillow Raceway.
Dax and Kristen Bell got romantically involved in 2007 after meeting at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Shepard popped the question in 2010 in Italy while filming When in Rome. However, the couple postponed the wedding till California allowed same-sex marriages. In 2013, Kristen re-proposed to Dax on Twitter and they tied knots on October 16, 2013, at the Beverly Hills Courthouse spending only $142 for the ceremony. By the way, instead of wearing a wedding ring, Dax has a tattoo of a bell on his ring finger. Now, Dax and Kristen are parents of 2 adorable daughters, Delta and Lincoln.
In 2012, Shepard became a vegetarian like his wife. Actually, the couple seems to be very happy together and often shares funny family photos and videos. The spouses are very supportive of each other and like to make surprises. Thus, for Kristen’s 31st birthday, Dax arranged for a sloth to hang out at her party knowing his wife’s love for these animals. And in 2019, the spouses launched Hello Bello brand, producing plant-based products for babies.
A curious fact: both Dax and Kristen are obsessed with board games. They love Settlers of Catan.
