Diane Lane decided to opt for an acting path when she was only 6 years old and was a member of a theater club in New York. At 12, she already played in The Cherry Orchard alongside Meryl Streep. And in 1979, the performer made a screen debut in A Little Romance.
Lane gained wide recognition in 1983 after playing in The Outsiders and Rumble Fish. Moreover, she is noted for starring in Streets of Fire, A Walk on the Moon, Unfaithful, Under the Tuscan Sun, Fierce People, Must Love Dogs, Nights in Rodanthe, Man of Steel plus Every Secret Thing.

Later that year, the man was arrested for domestic violence but the couple announced that it was a misunderstanding. In 2013, their marriage was dissolved.
A curious fact: Diane was chosen for the lead part in Pretty Woman but had to refuse because of a scheduling conflict. As a result, the part went to Julia Roberts.
