Tanner Elle Schneider, who is known professionally as Elle King, is a music artist and actress. She is a daughter of Rob Schneider and his first spouse London King.
Though she had a famous dad, it was Elle’s stepfather Justin Tesa who sparked her interest in music. She learned to play a guitar and banjo along with starting to write her own songs at a rather young age. At the same time, King got a degree in painting and film at University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
In 2012, Elle presented her eponymous debut EP, which was followed by album Love Stuff in 2015. The latter was certified gold while its song Ex’s & Oh’s gained two Grammy nominations. In 2016, King won a CMA award for her duet song with Dierks Bentley titled Different for Girls. And in 2018, the artist released Shake the Spirit album.
Besides, many of Elle King’s songs sounded in movies and television series. For instance, you can hear her works in This Is 40, Hot Pursuit, Ghostbusters films and Mob Wives Chicago series. Additionally, Elle tried her hand at acting in Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, The Benchwarmers and Wild Cherry movies.
On February 14, 2016, Elle tied knots with Andrew Ferguson just after three weeks of dating. In April 2017, the man was arrested for domestic violence and the couple planned to get divorced. They shortly reconciled but, subsequently, called it quits. Suffering from the breakup, the girl faced substance abuse and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
In 2019, King got engaged to a man named Jim but they separated. Late in 2019, she got romantically involved with Dan Tooker, a tattoo master. By the way, like her boyfriend, King has a passion for tattoos and can boast of many innings on her body.
A curious fact: Elle preferred to use her mother’s last name instead of her dad’s one as she wanted to make a name for herself and not to be just a daughter of a famed actor.
