Ellie Harvey is most famed for being a spouse of golfer Jason Day. She drew her first breath in Lucas, Ohio, in the family of basketball and baseball coach Tom Harvey and Lucy Sanchez Knapp. She also has a brother named Clark.
Harvey studied at a beauty school and pursued a business degree online aspiring to open a beauty salon. But when she first met Day, she was a waitress at an Irish pub.
Today, Ellie Harvey dedicates all her time to the family and helps her husband to run Brighter Day Foundation. In 2014, the organization helped the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. By the way, Jason lost eight relatives because of the catastrophe, including his grandmother.
Though Ellie and Jason got acquainted in 2005, the romantic feelings arose between them only in 2007. Subsequently, they got hitched on October 3, 2009. In 2012, the spouses welcomed their firstborn, son Dash. In 2015, their daughter Lucy drew her first breath. And in 2018, baby boy Arrow became the newest addition to their family after Harvey’s tragic miscarriage in 2017.
Ellie is a very supportive wife who visits all Jason’s games. She is also active on social media and frequently shares photos of her family.
In 2015, Harvey was involved in an incident with LeBron James. The spouses were guests at the Cleveland Cavaliers game against Oklahoma City Thunder when LeBron crashed into the woman while chasing a loose ball. Ellie suffered a concussion and left the game on a stretcher with a neck brace. The basketball star felt very guilty and publicly apologized for the incident.
A curious fact: initially, Ellie’s dad didn’t like Jason. But now, the man thinks that he has the best son-in-law.
