James Brolin

James Brolin deals with acting, producing and directing. He first appeared on TV in 1961 in an episode of Follow the Sun series but gained wider recognition after starring in Marcus Welby, M.D. He later played in Hotel, Pensacola: Wings of Gold, Life in Pieces series plus The Reagans television film.

In 1963, James debuted on the big screen with a small part in Take Her, She’s Mine. However, he is most noted for his parts in Skyjacked, Westworld, Gable and Lombard, Capricorn One and Night of the Juggler. Moreover, he directed My Brother’s War and was a producer of Standing Ovation.

Among the accolades earned by the performer are Golden Globe, Primetime Emmy and SAG Awards. In 2016, his name appeared on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In 1966, James Brolin got hitched to Jane Cameron Agee only 12 days after their acquaintance. They welcomed their firstborn, son Josh, in 1968, followed by daughter Jess in 1972. Their marriage was dissolved in 1984. And in 1995, Jane passed away after getting injured in a car crash. In 1986, Brolin espoused actress Jan Smithers whom he met while filming Hotel. In 1987, their daughter Molly drew her first breath. However, in 1996, the spouses broke up.

James got romantically involved with Barbra Streisand in 1996 after meeting her at a dinner party and they tied knots on July 1, 1998, at Barbra’s estate in Malibu. The couple doesn’t have mutual kids but Brolin is a stepdad to his wife’s son from previous marriage Jason.

A curious fact: when Brolin was asked what personality inspired him, he credited Clint Eastwood. Moreover, he reveals that he draws inspiration from his spouse.
