Jason Gould is the only son of legendary Barbra Streisand and her first spouse Elliott Gould. He seems to have inherited his mom’s multiple talents as he deals with acting, filmmaking and singing.
Jason made an acting debut in 1972 movie Up the Sandbox. He later played in Say Anything…, Listen to Me, The Big Picture and Boy’s Life. He also appeared alongside Streisand in The Prince of Tides. In 1997, he wrote, directed and produced his short film Inside Out.
In 2012, Gould got interested in singing and presented his eponymous EP. In 2017, his album Dangerous Man was released. Moreover, Jason performed at some of his mother’s concerts.
Jason Gould has much in common with his stellar mother. He is also a social, environmental and political activist. Moreover, he adores dogs and often posts pictures of his dog Eli on social media.
In 1988, Jason told his parents about his homosexuality. Barbra respected her son’s decision and defended his choice publicly. Basically, Streisand and Jason seem to be very close. They often share each other’s photos on Instagram, including cute throwback pictures when little Jason visited his mom on the movie sets, and always promote each other’s songs and albums.
A curious fact: prior to his birth, Jason was called The Million Dollar Baby by journalists as Barbra was forced to cancel a profitable concert engagement in Las Vegas because of pregnancy.
