Jeannie Gaffigan (nee Noth) is a rather versatile personality who deals with acting, writing and producing. She is also the wife of comedian Jim Gaffigan.
Hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jeannie is one of nine children of Dominique Paul Noth, a journalist, film and drama critic, and his wife Louise. She got a degree in communication at Marquette University but opted for the entertainment industry career instead. Noth started as a stage actress and established non-profit theater company Shakespeare on the Playground. Her acting credits include My Boys and Ghost Stories TV series as well as films A Killing, Hacks and Maybe It’s Me.
However, Jeannie Gaffigan is more famed for collaborating with Jim. He co-wrote many of his specials and even directed them. She also helped him to create The Jim Gaffigan Show and write his books. Additionally, the woman coached her spouse for his part in Broadway’s play That Championship Season.
Jeannie and Jim got romantically involved in 2000 and got hitched on July 26, 2003. In 2005, the spouses welcomed their daughter Marre. In 2006, their son Jack drew his first breath and in 2009, he was joined by sister Katie. The couple’s youngest sons, Michael and Patrick, were born in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
In 2017, Jeannie uncovered that she suffered from a benign brain tumor of a pear size. After its removal, the woman faced paralysis of the left vocal. By 2019, she fully recovered and authored a book titled When Life Gives You Pears sharing her experience.
A curious fact: Jim Gaffigan considers Jeannie to be his secret weapon and is sure that she is responsible for his success.
