Jeff Bridges is a movie star who earned Oscar, two Golden Globes, SAG Award and many other accolades. He and his brother Beau inherited their acting talent from parents Lloyd and Dorothy Bridges. Moreover, Jeff has sister Lucinda. His brother Garrett died in infancy.
Bridges made an acting debut being only several months old by appearing in 1951 film The Company She Keeps. He embarked on his debut starring role only in twenty years in The Last Picture Show movie. Among the star’s other famed works are Fat City, King Kong, Tron, Kiss Me Goodbye, Fearless, The Big Lebowski, The Contender, True Grit, R.I.P.D., Seventh Son, Hell or High Water plus Bad Times at the El Royale.
The celebrity has some television credits as well. He landed his first part in the Sea Hunt series and later appeared on The Lloyd Bridges Show, Lassie and The Most Deadly Game. Besides, he starred in A Dog Year film.
However, Bridges has many other talents. Being a skilled musician, he presented the eponymous album in 2011 and proceeded with creating spoken word album Sleeping Tapes. Today, Jeff performs with The Abiders band. Additionally, he co-authored The Dude and the Zen Master book and released two books of photos showing his passion for photography.
On June 5, 1977, Jeff tied knots with Susan Geston. They welcomed their firstborn, daughter Isabelle, in 1981. Their second child Jessica drew her first breath in 1983. And in 1985, another baby girl named Haley joined the family. By the way, Jeff and his spouse are already grandparents as their eldest daughter has two kids.
A curious fact: in 1967-1975, Bridges served in the US Coast Guard Reserve in California, where he was a Boatswain’s mate.
