Josie Harris deals with acting and business. However, she gained popularity thanks to her romance with Floyd Mayweather.
Harris had parts in Exit 38 movie and Starter Wives Confidential television series. She launched her own line of baby products titled Nappiesaks. Moreover, she is an author who wrote the book Undisputed L’UV, sharing her personal experience of domestic abuse.
Josie Harris got romantically involved with Mayweather in 1995. They were an on/off couple till 2010. In 1999, they welcomed their firstborn, son Koraun. In 2001, their younger son Zion drew his first breath and in 2004, the family was expanded by a baby girl named Jirah. Simultaneously with Josie, Floyd also had affairs with Melissia Brim and Shantel Jackson.
Actually, Floyd and Josie’s relationship was rather turbulent. The woman suffered physical abuse several times, but the last drop was in 2010. The boxer entered her home while she was sleeping and started to beat and scream at her in front of their kids accusing of cheating on him with Golden State Warrior C.J. Watson. That led the boxer to be sentenced to 90 days in prison.
Josie tells that Mayweather considers his relationship with women as ownership. She also shared that he used to choose her clothes and regularly monitored her cell phone. Though their romance is over, Harris reveals that she still feels anxiety when she knows that she is about to meet her ex-boyfriend.
On March 9, 2020 she was found dead in the car parked at her home in Valencia, CA.
A curious fact: in 2015, Harris accused Floyd of defamation and filed a lawsuit against him after the athlete said that she was on drugs when he battered her.
