Kevin Bacon started his acting career with theater and made a big screen debut in National Lampoon’s Animal House film in 1978. Having gained attention after starring in Diner, he proceeded with roles in Footloose, Murder in the First, Apollo 13, Sleepers, Digging to China, Hollow Man, Mystic River, The Woodsman, X-Men: First Class and The Darkness.
Bacon is also a television star. Among his most notable projects are Guiding Light, The Following, I Love Dick and City on a Hill series. Besides, he works behind the camera. Thus, the celebrity directed Losing Chase and Loverboy films.

In 1988, Bacon tied knots with Kyra Sedgwick. In 1989, they welcomed son Travis. And in 1992, their daughter Sosie became the newest addition to the family.
A curious fact: despite his profession, Kevin is afraid of public speaking and even making toasts is a challenge for him. He had to visit a therapist to find the reasons for his fear.
