Mark Cuban is a famous entrepreneur and television personality. Hailing from the family of auto trim shop owner Norton Cuban and his spouse Shirley, he was raised alongside brothers Brian and Jeff.
Mark demonstrated great business skills since early age by selling garbage bags door to door. At high school, he worked as a bartender and promoter. And when the time to go to college came, he sold out his stamps collection to pay for education.
Cuban’s first business was MicroSolutions, a computer consulting company. Having sold it, he co-founded Internet radio Audionet which later turned into Broadcast.com plus established AXS TV channel. Additionally, Mark produces and distributes films via his company 2929 Entertainment, which includes Magnolia Pictures, and invests in dozens of startups, among which are IceRocket and Brondell.
In 2000, Mark Cuban purchased basketball team Dallas Mavericks that won the NBA championship in 2011. As an author, he wrote two books. One of them is titled How to Win at the Sport of Business. But Mark doesn’t only earn big money but also donates them to various charities. For instance, he runs Fallen Patriot Fund to support families of the soldiers who died or were injured in the Iraq War.
Besides, Cuban frequently appears on TV. We all know him for being an investor on Shark Tank series. However, he also hosted The Benefactor show and appeared in other TV projects, including Entourage and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. What is more, the businessman had cameos in Game Over, Man! and What Men Want movies.
In 2002, Mark tied knots with Tiffany Stewart. In 2003, they welcomed their firstborn, daughter Alexis. In 2007, she was joined by another baby girl named Alyssa. And in 2010, Mark and Tiffany’s son Jake became the newest addition to the family.
