Marko Jaric is a former basketball star. Hailing from Serbia, he was raised by Leposava and Srecko Jaric, a basketball player, alongside sister Tamara and brother Nikola.
Having practiced his skills since childhood, Jaric went professional in 1996 by joining Peristeri club in Greece. He proceeded with playing for Italian teams Fortitudo Bologna and Virtus Bologna and won the championship with both of them.
Marko’s NBA career started in 2002 with the Los Angeles Clippers. In 2005, he joined Minnesota Timberwolves before signing a deal with Memphis Grizzlies in 2008. The following year, the athlete returned to Europe to represent Spanish Real Madrid and later Italian Montepaschi Siena.
Representing Yugoslavia internationally, Marko Jaric earned gold medals at 2001 FIBA EuroBasket and 2002 FIBA World Cup. In 2007, he played for Serbian national team at EuroBasket.
In 2006, Marko got acquainted with supermodel Adriana Lima at a party in 2006 and they started dating soon afterwards. On her 27th birthday, Jaric popped the question and on February 14, 2009, he espoused his sweetheart at a low-key ceremony in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Later that year, the spouses were blessed with daughter Valentina. And in 2012, another baby girl named Sienna became the newest addition to the family.
Marko and Adriana seemed to be a perfect couple. The model stated that she had never imagined herself being married, but everything changed after meeting Jaric. However, in 2014, these two called it quits. Their divorce was finalized in 2016.
A curious fact: Jaric has dual Serbian and Greek citizenship. However, in Greece, he is named Marko Latsis.
