Martha Stewart started her path to stardom with modeling and later worked as a stockbroker and owned a catering business.
She first drew attention in 1982 after publishing her debut book Entertaining that was followed by dozens of bestselling books on cooking, homekeeping, gardening, weddings and other topics. Besides, she founded Martha Stewart Living magazine, the eponymous TV show and a retail business.
Stewart regularly appears on television and is famed for Martha and Martha Knows Best programs. Besides, she is a contributor on NBC’s Today show and a frequent guest on many other projects. Martha even appeared in Men in Black II and Bad Moms films plus All My Children, Ugly Betty and 2 Broke Girls series.
In 1961, Martha tied knots with Andrew Stewart. In 1965, they welcomed daughter Alexis. Having divorced with Andrew in 1990, she was later romantically linked to Anthony Hopkins and billionaire Charles Simonyi.
A curious fact: in 2004-2005, Stewart spent 5 months in prison for conspiracy, obstruction of an agency proceeding and making false statements to federal investigators.
