Nivea B. Hamilton is famed for her singing skills and for her relationship with Lil Wayne and The-Dream.
Being a native of Atlanta, GE, Nivea rose alongside two elder sisters. She fell in love with music in childhood along with being a fan of Mariah Carey. Though she was initially shy to sing professionally, Hamilton got her first experience by recording the song Danger with Mystikal.
In 2001, the artist recorded her first solo song Don’t Mess with the Radio before presenting her eponymous album. It was followed by 3 more albums, the latest of which, Mirrors, was presented in 2019. Nivea is most noted for her single Don’t Mess with My Man, which gained a Grammy nomination, in addition to hits Laundromat with R. Kelly, Okay with YoungbloodZ and Lil’ Jon. Moreover, she contributed to Lil Wayne’s singles She Feelin Me and Dope New Gospel.
Nivea B. Hamilton and Lil Wayne got acquainted in 2002 and got engaged later that year. She calls the rapper her first love. However, they called it quits in 2003 before Lil tied knots with his daughter’s mother Toya Johnson. In 2004, Hamilton got hitched to Terius Nash, more famed as The-Dream. In 2005, they welcomed their daughter Navy Talia. And in 2006, the family was expanded by twins Christian and London. The marriage turned out to be pretty short-lived and ended in 2007 though the spouses got officially divorced in 2008.
Soon after breaking up with The-Dream, Nivea and Lil Wayne reconciled. In 2009, their son Neal drew his first breath. But that didn’t save them from separation in 2010.
A curious fact: while carrying their sons with Lil Wayne, Nivea and Lauren London befriended. Lauren even supported Nivea when her mother passed away.
