Odie Sal Dodson is a son of television star Ashley Williams and her spouse Neal Dodson, a film producer. Unlike his elder brother who was born at home, Odie drew his first breath at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Odie’s name is a tribute to Neal’s great-grandfather while his middle name was inspired by the protagonist of Robert McCloskey’s books Blueberries for Sal and One Morning in Maine. Ashley and Neal prefer to keep both Odie and his brother Gus away from the limelight and so, they don’t share the boys’ photos on social media and rarely mention them in their interviews.
A curious fact: Odie was born on his dad’s 39th birthday.
