O’Shea Jackson Jr. is the firstborn of Ice Cube and his wife Kimberly Woodruff. He was named after his dad. He is a rather educated man who earned a degree in screenwriting at the University of Southern California.
Being inspired by his father’s success, O’Shea got engaged into music in 2010 by making contributions to a couple of songs from Ice Cube’s album I Am the West with his brother Darrell. In 2012, he adopted the stage name OMG and released the mixtape Jackin’ for Beats.
In 2015, O’Shea Jackson Jr. made an acting debut by portraying his father in biopic Straight Outta Compton. Actually, he seems to be destined to play that part as he is his father’s absolute lookalike. After that, the artist played in Ingrid Goes West, Den of Thieves, Long Shot, Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Just Mercy movies. Moreover, he appeared in Drunk History and Swagger television series.
By the way, O’Shea is a young father. In 2017, he welcomed a daughter named Jordan Reign Jackson with his former girlfriend Jackie Garcia. In one of his interviews, he revealed that his daughter gave him a new purpose in life. So, thanks to his eldest son, Ice Cube is already a grandfather.
A curious fact: while growing up, Jackson didn’t like his name. However, he now tells that if he has a son, he will choose the same name for him.
