Bio

Pearl Lowe deals with clothes and textiles design. However, in the 1990s, she started her career by providing vocals for Powder and Lodger indie bands. She also performed solo as Pearl but later, she decided to concentrate on design.

In 2001, Pearl launched her line of lace curtains and cushions which turned out to be a big business. In 2006, she started to make handmade gowns and children clothes which were sold at Liberty and The Cross stores. Moreover, she created capsule collections for Peacocks retailer. And in 2017, the designer presented her line of bespoke dresses.

Moreover, Lowe loves dealing with interior renovation and is famed for her vintage-inspired interiors. She is a writer as well. In 2007, the woman published her memoir All That Glitters, which was followed by a book about interior design, Pearl Lowe’s Vintage Craft, released in 2013. Occasionally, she writes for various blogs.

Pearl Lowe suffered from cocaine and heroin addiction for many years but managed to get rid of it. Now, she is an ambassador of Action on Addiction charity.

Lowe was married to fertility specialist Bronner Handwerger. Simultaneously, she had a brief affair with rock musician Gavin Rossdale in the 1980s which resulted in the birth of daughter Daisy, who is a fashion model now. By the way, Daisy and her mother created a bags collection together.

In 1995, Pearl got romantically involved with Danny Goffey, a member of Supergrass band. They gave birth to three children: Alfie, Frankie and Betty. The couple finally tied knots on December 4, 2008.

A curious fact: Pearl got her name in honor of a grandmother who passed away at the day she drew her first breath.
