Solange Knowles deals with writing, producing and performing songs. She is also famed for being the younger sister of Beyonce. Solange started her career by being a backup dancer for Destiny’s Child and later wrote songs for her sister and her group mates. By the way, the artist wrote her first song when she was 9 and was constantly developing her skills since then.
In 2002, Solange presented her debut album Solo Star. It was followed by three more creations, the highest selling of which was A Seat at the Table with gold certification. The album’s single Cranes in the Sky brought her the first Grammy. In 2013, the artist established record label Saint Records.
Moreover, Knowles contributed to the soundtracks for Austin Powers in Goldmember, The Master of Disguise plus Johnson Family Vacation. She had a part in the latter along with playing in Bring It On: All or Nothing movie.

On February 27, 2004, Solange got hitched to college football player Daniel Smith in the Bahamas with Beyonce serving as a maid of honor. And later that year, the couple welcomed a baby boy named Daniel Julez. However, the marriage was short-lived and was dissolved in 2007. On November 16, 2014, the celebrity tied knots with Alan Ferguson, who deals with music video directing. Alan directed a couple of music videos for his wife. In the end of 2019, they called it quits.
