Tish Cyrus, whose birth name is Leticia Jean Finley, is a matriarch of the stellar Cyrus family. Hailing from Eastern Kentucky, she was raised by adoptive father Glenmore Finley (1922-1986) and his wife Loretta. Tish revealed that she had a happy childhood as everything was about her.
Now, Cyrus is a momager who takes care of Miley and Noah’s careers. She also served as a producer of films The Last Song, LOL and So Undercover along with producing Truly Tish, Brandville plus Take 2 series. Being an interior design enthusiast, Tish and her daughter Brandi launched reality show Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer in 2017.
Additionally, Tish Cyrus tried her hand at acting by appearing in Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert along with starring in Miley’s music clip for song Mother’s Daughter, which was dedicated to her.
In 1986-1989, Tish was a wife to drummer Baxter Neal Helson, a biological father of her elder kids Brandi and Trace, who were later adopted by the woman’s second husband. In 1991, she got acquainted with Billy Ray Cyrus at his concert and the two couldn’t resist the chemistry arising between them. On December 28, 1993, they tied knots at their Nashville house. At that time, Tish and Billy were already parents to daughter Destiny Hope who later changed her name to Miley. In 1994, the spouses welcomed son Braison and in 2000, their daughter Noah became the newest addition to the family.
Though Billy and Tish seem to be a perfect couple, they have their ups and downs. They planned to dissolve their marriage in 2010 but reconciled in 2011. In 2013, the couple called it quits once again, but a therapist helped them to save their marriage by learning how to communicate with each other more effectively.
A curious fact: Tish loves smoking weed and even thinks about starting a cannabis company. In 2018, Miley shared that her mom reintroduced her to cannabis after the pop star quitted smoking in 2017.
