Matthew Perry is a television and movie star. He used to be a top-ranked junior tennis player in his native Canada, but at 15, he relocated to Los Angeles and fell in love with acting.
In 1979, Matthew made a television debut in the 240-Robert series. He reached international fame in the 1990s thanks to portraying Chandler Bing in legendary Friends. His other credits include Boys Will be Boys, Sydney, Home Free, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Go On, Mr. Sunshine and The Odd Couple series. Besides, the celebrity co-created the latter two and tried his hand at directing in an episode of Scrubs.
In 1988, Perry’s big screen debut happened in A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon film. He proceeded with landing roles in Fools Rush In, Almost Heroes, Three to Tango, The Whole Nine Yards, Serving Sara, Numb and Birds of America.
Matthew was romantically linked to Lizzy Caplan in 2006-2012. In 2020, he proposed to Molly Hurwitz, a talent manager. However, they separated in June 2021.
A curious fact: Matthew was a classmate of the 23rd Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau.
