Felicity Huffman shows amazing acting skills no matter if she performs on stage, television or big screen. She was raised alongside seven siblings by Grace Ewing and banker Moore Huffman. Her parents’ marriage was dissolved when the future star was one and afterwards, she learned that her real dad was Roger Maher, a family friend.
Huffman started her career at theater while Speed the Plow production was her first Broadway experience. She first appeared on TV in 1978 in an episode of ABC Afterschool Special. In 10 years, Felicity obtained her first movie part in Things Change. However, the real popularity came in the mid-2000s after she had a part in Desperate Housewives series and earned Emmy plus SAG Awards. Felicity Huffman’s other famed television roles include the ones in Sports Night, Frasier, American Crime plus Get Shorty series. And among her movie credits are Georgia Rule, Phoebe in Wonderland, Rudderless, Big Game, Cake, Otherhood plus Tammy’s Always Dying. She also produced the latter two.
Additionally, Huffman directed Lesster short film, co-wrote A Practical Handbook for the Boyfriend and established a women’s website titled What The Flicka.
In 1997, Felicity tied the knot with William H. Macy. Their firstborn Sophia drew her first breath in 2000. In 2002, the family was blessed with another girl named Georgia. By the way, because of assisting her older child, the celebrity was involved in a SAT cheating scandal and had to spend 10 days in prison along with paying a fine and doing community service.
A curious fact: Huffman shares a birthday with Jesse Metcalfe, her Desperate Housewives co-star.
