Marcia Harvey is a businesswoman and writer. She got into the spotlight thanks to being an ex-spouse of entertainer Steve Harvey.
At college, Marcia studied chemistry and went on working in various spheres, including clinical research and forensic science. She also worked at a department store before launching her own fashion line.
However, Marcia Harvey’s biggest passion is writing. She wrote poems since youth but presented her first book only in 2011. It was titled Marcia: Eyes to the Soul. The book was followed with two more creations: Poems From The Heart and Thoughts From My Mind.
Marcia got acquainted with Harvey at a mutual friend’s party when she was still a department store employee. In 1980, they tied knots. In 1982, the spouses became parents to twin daughters Brandi and Karli. And in 1991, their son Broderick became the newest addition to the family.
In 1994, Marcia and Steve’s marriage was dissolved. While some sources discuss the celebrity’s possible infidelity, the others are sure that the man chose show business career over his family. Harvey reportedly quitted job to pursue his dream of being a comedian but managed to earn only $3000 within the first year. That deteriorated the relationship between the spouses and led to their divorce.
By the way, Marcia later remarried a man named Larry Greene.
A curious fact: in 2016, Marcia became a grandmother after her daughter Karli gave birth to a baby girl.
