Mychal Rashawn Rivera is an American football player. He represented Birmingham High School, College of the Canyons and Tennessee Volunteers before turning a professional in 2013.
Rivera started his NFL career with joining the Oakland Raiders in 2013 and played for the team for four seasons. In 2017, he became a player of the Jacksonville Jaguars. In 2018, he had a wrist injury and that led to his contract with the Jaguars to be terminated. Since 2018, Rivera has been a free agent.
Mychal is also famed for being a brother of television star Naya Rivera. And the siblings seem to be very supportive of each other. When Mychal signed a contract with the Oakland Raiders, Naya wore a cap with the team name. Moreover, when her brother scored his first NFL touchdown, the actress was in the stands and ran to the window of her suite to celebrate that milestone of her sibling’s athletic career.
A curious fact: being a son of Yolanda and George Rivera, Mychal has one more talented sister, fashion model Nickayla Rivera. Moreover, it was Nickayla, who in 2015, revealed the news about Mychal’s wedding to his girlfriend Sierra.
