Dash James Day is the firstborn of Jason Day and Ellie Harvey. He got his name in honor of The Incredibles movie character.
Dash, described by his parents as the most strong-willed, funniest and tender-hearted boy, plays soccer and already tries his hand at golf. James reveals that if his son decides to become a professional, he will ask Colin Swatton to be his coach.
Day always tells that family is very important for him. Thus, in 2012, he didn’t participate in the Open Championship as he wanted to spend time with Dash, who was a newborn at that time. Dash and his famed dad also posed together for Golf Digest magazine in 2015.
A curious fact: Jason Day admitted that it was hard to make Dash get used to Vegemite, a traditional Australian breakfast spread the golfer adores.
